Ok so this was a good story. It caught my attention and dragged me in right off the bat. There are some typos and some areas dragged a little bit which is why it's not five stars. Some plot points weren't resolved but it still felt like a complete story. But it was an interesting take on the rejected mates/second chance trope. I think the point of a good book is to make the reader feel. And boy did these characters make me feel. Sophia is a patient, caring, and forgiving sweetheart. There were many moments of discontent for me because of all that, because her mate....oh boy. Masen is the most frustrating, oblivious, and downright stupid male that could possibly exist. It's clear that he loves his mate but (without going in to spoilers) he just can't stop screwing up. There were so many times I was screaming at them all. But that's part of what makes it a good story. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what stupid things he would do next and if he'd ever get his act together. This was a seriously frustrating read but I'm glad I read it.

I enjoyed this story very much. Sophia is a great character and I was glad she got a nice ending. If you like wolf shifters but don’t want to read a series, this is the book for you. Many thanks to Albany Walker for writing this.

Pretty good story at the end! Why so young, most of their children in prison time Sophie emotions and reactions are because of her young age. Masen as Alpha was not much better, at 24 he very young also. They just seem to be young caught up in adult situations.
